Etihad Airways Cabin Luggage Allowance

Etihad carry-on baggage allowance for customers on Economy Class is 1 bag of up to 7kg.

Passengers on Business or First Class can take 2 hand luggage items up to 12kg in total.

The maximum permitted hand luggage dimension is 115cm per bag.

Other items such as small purses, laptops or cameras may also be taken in the cabin.

Any liquids on your hand luggage will have to be placed in a re-sealable transparent bag in separate containers up to 100ml in volume.

Etihad Airways Checked In Baggage Allowance

Passengers to any destination except US and Canada, flying in Economy can check in any number of bags up to 23kg. Business and First Class have a check in allowance of 30kg and 40kg respectively.

Luggage dimensions should be within 45cm x 72cm x 90cm.

If you want to purchase extra weight allowance, it will be charged from $10 to $50 per kilo depending on the destination. Discounts may apply if booked at least 24 hour prior to your departure.

For travellers to the US and Canada, Economy Class customers are allowed 2 bags up to 23kg each. Business and First Class can check in 2 bags up to 32kg each.

Economy passengers who want to purchase extra weight up to 32kg, it will cost them $50.

To add an extra baggage to your allowance regardless of class you will have to pay $137 up to 23kg or $187 up to 32kg.

The baggage dimensions on these flights should not exceed 158cm.

If you fly with an infant you can check in an extra bag up to 23kg on top of your allowance.

On all Etihad Airways flights no single item above 32kg will be accepted.

Passengers travelling on a wheelchair will have it carried by the airline free of charge.

Etihad Airways Oversized Luggage

Sports equipment such as skis, surfboards, golf bags and bicycles are accepted as part of your check in allowance.

Musical instruments will have to be checked in as part of your standard luggage, or you can buy a seat on the plane and carry it with you in the cabin.
